The publisher can call on experts in Italian law during a defamation lawsuit

High Court Judge Richard Davison has largely rejected an offer by Italian newspaper publisher RCS Media Group SpA to submit expert evidence on Italian media law in its libel battle against financier Raffaele Mincione , but allowed the news agency to set out its argument that their reporting on the businessman’s alleged wrongdoing was legal under Italian law, according to a judgment issued on Friday.
