Rosi Doviverata is the Acting Editor/CEO of Fiji Sun

Fiji Sun – Digital and Readership Development Editor-in-Chief Rosi Doviverata has been appointed as Acting Editor/CEO. It comes after a board meeting yesterday with senior executives and board members – chairman Ratu Ilaitia Tuisese and director Ashok Desai.

Fiji Sun – Digital and Readership Development Editor-in-Chief Rosi Doviverata has been appointed as Acting Editor/CEO.

It comes after a board meeting yesterday with senior executives and board members – chairman Ratu Ilaitia Tuisese and director Ashok Desai.

Ms. Doviverata holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Innovation and Leadership in Journalism from the University of Central Lancaster (UCLan) in the UK, an Executive Master of Business (EMBA) from Fiji National University , a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the South Pacific.

She is currently on a six-month fellowship with Oxford Climate Journalism Network.

Ms. Doviverata is President of the Fiji Media Association (FMA) and is an active participant and selected facilitator of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).

“I would like to thank the members of the Board of Directors for their confidence in me and I am honored to take on this interim role,” said Ms. Doviverata.

“Of course, the support of staff, senior management, our readers and stakeholders will ensure that we continue to innovate as a news publisher.”

Ms. Doviverata’s acting appointment is effective until an effective appointment is made.

The interim appointment follows the death of Peter Lomas, publisher and CEO of the Fiji Sun, last week.
