President Buhari sends condolences to ThisDay editor Nduka Obaigbena for the loss of his mother

President Muhammadu Buhari sends his heartfelt condolences to the Obi Kingdom Royal Palace of Owa in Delta State on the passing of a very dear daughter, Princess Margaret Obaigbena, née Usifoh, at the age of 88 years old.

Committing to family members and Prince Nduka Obaigbena, Chairman of Thisday and Arise Group of Companies, President Buhari describes the late Princess Margaret as a pillar of strength for the family, an accomplished mother and a revered community leader, whose absence will be felt far beyond its immediate surroundings.

Noting that Princess’ passing will create a great void in the community, the President urges the family to take comfort in knowing that they have lived their passion caring for the distressed and underprivileged. He also praised her unwavering disposition to serve humanity, beginning early in life and rising to the pinnacle of the nursing profession, channeling her energy and resources into the pursuit of lofty convictions.

President Buhari extends his condolences to the government and people of Edo and Delta States for the loss of the illustrious citizen who contributed immensely to the development of the two states. Her role as special advisor to three Delta State governors will go down indelibly in the annals of the state.

The President prays that Almighty God will grant his soul eternal rest.
