Niccole Schaper named Washington Post projects editor

Press release | The Washington Post

Announcement from Creative Director Greg Manifold:

We are delighted to announce that Niccole Schaper will join The Post as Projects Editor.

Niccole joins us from Gannett, where she was a team leader at the USA Today Network Design Center in McLean, Virginia. She has led two design teams and overseen multimedia presentations in 14 major market publications. His role required him to continually review and improve workflows, communicate and align to goals across various newsrooms. She was also responsible for training.

We look forward to Niccole utilizing her vast experiences when she joins the Project Editors team. The group is focused on improving the newsroom’s most ambitious corporate efforts and is committed to projects from their inception to facilitate collaboration and develop coverage plans. Our project editors should also review our projects analytically during and after launch to inform not only this project, but also future projects, highlighting key learnings and analyzing our user experiences.

Niccole earned an MBA in Analytics and Business Development from American Public University and completed her undergraduate degree at Cal State University in Long Beach. She was a designer at the Southern California News Group before joining Gannett in 2016.

Niccole, who says everyone calls her KC, has a Labrador Retriever named Riley. In her free time, she likes to experiment in the kitchen, read a good novel and do television series from time to time. She spent much of her childhood moving around a lot, so she enjoys traveling and hopes to return to crossing places on her to-do list soon.

Please welcome Nicole to The Post. His first day is Monday.
