First, Incisive – part of the Arc Network – won Innovation of the Year for Nexus, its next-generation account-based marketing program.
Then, the Sustainable Investment Festival (SIF), launched in 2021 as a four-day digital fair, was named Business Event of the Year.
Nexus’ win means Incisive Media has won the innovation award twice in the last three years, following the success of Computing‘s Delta in 2020.
Computing himself was shortlisted for the Media Brand of the Year and just missed out on the prestigious gong.
The judges said that Nexus “was impressed with a strong reimagining of an existing brand, delivering instant results with significant long-term potential. This company exhibited a spirit of breaking down silos that builds collaboration and generates a powerful sense of pride for everyone involved.”
Launched in 2021, Incisive Nexus is a cutting-edge, account-based marketing product that provides customers with accurate insight into which companies want to buy their products, based on the best first-party data capabilities. It was designed by Managing Director Alan Loader and Chief Revenue Officer Paul Harvey.
In its first year, Nexus generated substantial six-figure revenues and helped propel Computingdouble-digit growth in 2021.
PPA judges chose Nexus from a shortlist of six that also included innovators such as Hearst and New Scientist.
In the Corporate Events category, judges hailed SIF – against fellow Incisive brand, Professional Pensions Live, as well as awards in the music, travel and construction sectors – for its “brave approach and bold decision taken at a time when many other companies were ambitious decisions made by the company have paid off, with fantastic results in both delegate engagement and commercial revenue.”
