Earlier this year, Activision announced it would be making a return to Steam after years of absence forcing PC gamers to use the publisher’s bespoke launcher. Before Activison’s full return to the platform, the publisher now has an official Steam page.
Go to https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Activision will now take you to the official Activision Steam store page, where you can follow the publisher and see all the games they have released.
Currently the page is pretty bare, without any real formatting and without any list. Additionally, the most recent game Activision released on Steam remains 2019’s Spyro Reignited Trilogy. That being said, this is a welcome first step in Activision’s return to the mainstream PC platform.
We don’t yet know exactly when Activision will start releasing games on the platform, but it has been confirmed that the next Modern Warfare II will be coming to Steam (which will be released on October 28, 2022).
Since Activision’s departure from Steam, the publisher has released a plethora of games on its own Battle.net launcher. Hopefully these games find their way to Steam sooner rather than later.
