Tech the iPhone Life Team is Loving
NYT Cooking: Recipes & Tips ($4.99/month) I’ve been loving my subscription to NYT Cooking! Previously, I used Pinterest to save all my recipes, but dealing with so many ads was a pain. NYT Cooking offers an easy way to try out well-reviewed recipes (and avoid ads). -Rheanne Taylor, Video Production Manager MoesGo 2nd Generation Smart Bluetooth Fingerbot Plus ($29.99) I love automating my home with smart devices. This smart button pusher can help make any device with a pushable button “smart,” whether it be a light switch or my 3D printer. While it isn’t Siri-compatible, it does have an iPhone app. It can be glitchy to set up and use, but it can be incredibly valuable, and the tech will hopefully keep getting better. -Olena Kagui, Feature Writer GE Cync…

My iPad Obsession In 2010, Apple announced the iPad. Despite its lack of a keyboard, I believed in the concept so much, I pre-ordered the iPad and bought Apple stock. I provide this backstory to justify why I own so many iPads (even though it’s obviously overkill). I have a 2024 blue iPad mini; a 2024 space gray iPad Air; and a 2021 silver iPad Pro as well as a myriad of Apple and third-party keyboards. I also have two Apple Pencils I never use. If you are in the market for an iPad, here is what I recommend. First, future-proof your purchase by making sure the iPad supports Apple Intelligence as all my iPads do. Now, in its infancy, Apple Intelligence will play a major role in the iPad…

Hands on with the AirPods Max
My husband is an audiophile, and I’ve always felt vaguely envious of his elaborate sound setups with cushioned over-ear headphones that pipe perfectly balanced music into his ears while blocking out the rest of the world. I’m more of a laptop-and-a-pair-of-earbuds girl and have so far been delighted with my AirPods Pro 2. But when Apple announced a new line of colors for the AirPods Max last fall, I was tempted enough to give these over-ear headphones a try. THE APPLE PRICE TAG My first concern was the cost. Why spend $549 on over-ear headphones when competitors offer similar products for $200 less? The answer for me was the both the design (I’m willing to pay more for something that makes me happy to look at) and the seamless experience…
