A GREAT VIEW AND EXCITING ADVENTURES in the old house
From the esplanade in Callian you’ve got a fantastic view of the neighbor town of Montauroux, the Tanneron mountains and the beginning of Massif des Maures. Jessica Fort grew up in this enchanting landscape, surrounded by olive trees, mimosa flowers and Provence markets full of delicious foods. One Sunday, strolling through the cobblestone streets of the village, she spotted an old house with closed shutters which was up for sale. "We had just sold our house, and it happened so fast that we were taken by surprise. We urgently needed a new home." The apartment was located in an old building featuring one of the oldest doors in the village, right next to the beautiful village castle. It was livable but needed some serious renovation work. They planted a beech hedge towards the neighboring gardens, and this hedge is now 10 feet tall (3 m) and surrounds the garden like a living wall. Towards the open landscape, they decided to sow a flower mixture which now offers a fantastic play of colors in summer. In the middle of the garden was a small cherry tree and the couple decided to leave it there and…

TULIPS – the beautiful messengers of spring
Tulips are just so special. When the first bundles of fresh tulips turn up at the florist’s, you know that spring is on its way. Right now, they pop up everywhere in the gardens. Their crisp leaves and vibrant colors ooze of new life and a fresh start, reminding us that light and warmth have returned.
