A Top Gun
Legendary actor Val Kilmer has died at age 65. The Batman Forever star, who was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2015, passed away from pneumonia on April 1, his daughter, Mercedes, told The New York Times. Mere minutes after the news broke, tributes had already begun pouring in for the beloved star. “See ya, pal. I’m going to miss you,” fellow actor Josh Brolin shared on Instagram. “You were a smart, challenging, brave, uber-creative firecracker. There’s not a lot left of those.” With a career spanning over four decades, Kilmer rose to fame after starring as Tom “Iceman” Kazansky alongside Tom Cruise in the 1986 blockbuster Top Gun. And while his heart-throb looks certainly allowed him to fit in among the celebrity set, he soon found his niche portraying tormented,…
Becks Turns 50!
You only turn the big 5-0once, but for birthday boy David Beckham, it looks like it’ll be a whole month full of celebrations. The soccer legend kicked off the festivities well ahead of his actual birthday on May 2, throwing a swanky black-tie soiree for his nearest and dearest at Cipriani Downtown in Miami. “So I thought I’d start celebrating slightly early, such a special night in Miami,” David wrote on Instagram, alongside party snaps with his “amazing” friends and family. Wife Victoria also shared some pre-party photos of Becks in his tux, a newly-blonde Harper and sons Romeo and Cruz with their girlfriends, Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel. “What a way to begin the first of many celebrations for David, surrounded by friends and family,” Posh, 50, wrote on…
More Fab Four
The rumours are true: there won’t just be one biopic about The Beatles, there will be four – one for each member of the legendary British band. Director Sam Mendes has described the project as “the first bingeable theatrical experience” and confirmed a laundry list of whispers surrounding the highly anticipated biopics, including the stars. As has been known for months, Paul Mescal will play Paul McCartney, while Babygirl’s Harris Dickinson will star as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn will take on George Harrison and Sabrina Carpenter’s ex Barry Keoghan will portray Ringo Starr. “We’re not just making one film about The Beatles – we’re making four,” Mendes told the audience at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. He also admitted he’s been “trying to make a movie about them for years”. As…

Together Again
Talk of a Dawson’s Creek reboot has been shot down for years, but star Busy Philipps has given fans a glimmer of hope that the Capeside crew will reunite. The actress, 45, recently revealed that she and her former co-stars Katie Holmes and Michelle Williams are planning a reunion in support of the show’s heart-throb James Van Der Beek – months after he announced he was battling colorectal cancer. “We’re really trying to figure something out, but there are a couple of people who have some work things that cannot be moved,” Philipps, who played Audrey Liddell during the final two seasons of the teen drama, told Us Weekly. “It’s like playing chess, trying to get everybody’s schedules to align. I’m very hopeful that at some point we will. “Everybody…
