Every week, someone asks me, “What’s your new favorite restaurant?” And my answer changes every week. Well, we have that full list for you! We asked Nancy Vienneau, our resident food expert, for her recommendations on what is not to miss and what you have to eat there. This is one magazine you will want to keep as a reference as you explore all the new places. And don’t miss the list of ones that are coming soon, that have not yet opened! We have no lack of great culinary talent in Music City! Speaking of talent, we partnered with our friends at Porsche of Nashville to showcase more Inspiring Women. As you recall, our March issue featured Clea Shearer, Dr. Christina Rahm, and Ivey Childers and now, this month,…

I hope you’re hungry, because our annual restaurant issue is here, and we’re bringing you more dining options than ever before. As exciting as the growth of Music City’s food scene is, it can also be a bit overwhelming to decide where to eat. Let our Ultimate Restaurant Guide be your go-to resource all year long for where to dine (or for when your out-of-town friends ask for restaurant recs), organized by neighborhood. And because more and more new restaurants are announcing Nashville openings, we’ve included a list of restaurants to come throughout the year, too. You’ll also read about 13 of our favorite new restaurants. Our fabulous food writer, Nancy Vienneau, was tasked with the nearly impossible challenge of narrowing down a list of favorites, and trust me when…

COUNTRY ROCK
Known by all as the consummate good-time cowboy – he’s got the hat, belt buckle, and mischievous grin to prove it – country star Jon Pardi has reached the point where his reputation precedes him. When fans hit play on his records, they come for hard twang and high energy, and he never disappoints. But with his new album Honkytonk Hollywood (out April 11), the California native really lets loose. Leaning into the brash spirit and melodic crunch of classic rock ‘n’ roll, his long-awaited fifth studio set opens new doors for a guy normally found falling “Head Over Boots,” or chasing a “Heartache On the Dancefloor.” And if that makes longtime fans squeamish, it shouldn’t. Despite adding some back-alley swagger to his usual gravel-road grit, Pardi’s honkytonk heart still…

MORE THAN A FASHION SHOW
Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt’s annual Friends & Fashion fundraiser returns on April 23 at the Music City Center, starting at 10 a.m. Much more than a fashion show, the event serves as a day of celebration for the community to acknowledge and uplift patients, healthcare workers, and highlight the need for support. The theme for this year’s Friends & Fashion is Spring Garden Party, where attendees can look forward to a colorful and inspirational show. Fashions will be provided by Dillard’s, including a special segment featuring the Frances Valentine collection, alongside pieces from The Friends Shop, located within the hospital. This year’s event will also recognize the inaugural recipient of the Friends Volunteer Icon Award, Robin Puryear, for her unwavering dedication and support. In addition to the…
