WELCOME TO THE ISSUE
Having recently spent a month watching catwalk shows, I'm happy to report that the new humble brag on the front row is finding the stealth high street gem. M&S's suede loafers were much in demand, as was Aligne's Daphne knit cardi. Meanwhile, the coat of choice seemed to be a COS trench, bought one size too big to give off a suitably louche vibe. Even fashion editors aren't immune from the buzz of finding a designer-looking purchase at an affordable price. Which is what this issue of Grazia is all about. The team have scoured the shops to edit down the best pieces for spring. From do-it-all jackets to butter yellow freshness, I hope you find something that sparks joy as we head into blue sky season. And if you…

NEW MUMS NEED BETTER CARE – NOT MORE OVERWHELMING ADVICE New guidance from the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology is angering parents for strongly advising new mothers do at least two hours of exercise a week. They also recommend avoiding screens before bed to improve sleep quality. Erm, who's going to tell them? We don't think screens are the reason postpartum mums aren't getting their eight hours, and suggesting exercise immediately after birth sounds like a cruel joke. While the well-intentioned advice aims to support physical and mental health, it feels out of touch with the reality of life with a newborn. What new mothers really need isn't to feel the pressure to do even more, but better support – ideally involving rest and being looked after. Sign up to…
‘Pebbling’ can surely only add to the loneliness epidemic
I LEARNED TWO new words last week. ‘Chopped’, which is young-people-speak for minging (technically, ugly I suppose, though an accomplished translation – one that allows for the fine nuance, the twisting, turning, ducking and diving of vernacular through the ages – would 100% go with minging) and ‘pebbling’. Pebbling describes that practice of communicating exclusively through the exchange of WhatsApped TikTok-y/ Instagrammy videos, memes and so forth. Rather than using your own, self-formed sentence (even some barely comprehensible, mangled, typo-speckled affair) to connect, you just wang over someone else's pic of an allegedly stressed-out hamster or a Hawk Tuah Girl JD Vance mash-up or a cat with shoes on. It's called pebbling because, when a penguin likes another penguin, they'll lay a pebble at their feet. This is one of…
CHART OF LUST
1. Up JEAN SMART By the time you read this, season four of Hacks, one of the finest TV shows ever created, and starring Jean, will have landed. And you are so very welcome! 2. New in PEDRO PASCAL X BELLA RAMSEY Their chemistry at the premiere for the new season of The Last Of Us (another fine show) was adorable. 3. Up UZO ADUBA Now starring as Cordelia Cupp in Shonda Rhimes’ The Residence, though eternally Suzanne ‘Crazy Eyes’ Warren to us. 4. Non-mover JENNIFER COOLIDGE Reports that her success on The White Lotus has led to… success with the menfolk. ‘That show really upped my game,’ she said. 5. Non-mover ERIN DOHERTY ‘Her’ episode in Adolescence was hands down our fave (although we did have to binge rewatch…
1. Inside Jen and Pedro's ‘hot date’
‘I'D DO ANYTHING for Jennifer!’ Pedro Pascal exclaimed on the red carpet for the season two premiere of The Last Of Us in LA, after he was asked about his friendship with Aniston. The pair had been seen on a dinner date at West Hollywood's Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower hotel the night before. Onlookers reported they were ‘relaxed and animated’, leaving around 11.30pm to hordes of paparazzi. However, it's all strictly platonic, Pascal says. ‘Jennifer and I are very good friends, it was a fun martini dinner,’ he told reporters. ‘She's that person. She's that person to everyone… If you're really high at a party, make eye contact with Jen Aniston and she'll calm your central nervous system. You'll be like, “Oh no, everything's fine. I'm safe.”’ His…
2. Spring into action with four hero buys
The cardi-jacket If it's too cold for just a jumper but too warm for a coat, the answer is: the cardi-jacket, a knitted cover-up that walks the line nicely between the two. This street-styler paired hers with chinos but you could just as easily wear over a dress. The knitted co-ord Realistically, jumpers are still very much on the menu. A transitional take is to double down, investing in a knitted two-piece that you can layer over a shirt and pair with sandals, hinting at spring while staying warm. The cargo pant Light enough for spring but offering full coverage from the elements, cargo pants will be your best friend when the weather can't make up its mind. Tamu McPherson styled hers with another spring hero – the barn jacket.…
